Proximity-Based Messaging
The Sensorstream Action Regions package consists of a collection of active sensors that advertise unique messages over the air. The sensors can be used for indoor and outdoor monitoring.
The advertised messages can be picked up by devices such as smart phones, laptops or other sensors and read in apps to create an interactive experience based on the device proximity.
Sensorstream have developed a comprehensive reliable and scaleable data framework that securely stores and reports on the sensor data.
Applications
3 levels of proximity are detected, immediate (up to 30cm), near (up to 2M) and far (up to 400M). Each range can facilitate a different interaction.
For example; far could be used to welcome a user into a room and near to message data specific to a particular installation or piece of artwork. Immediate could be used for secure or touch range only interactions.
Reporting can be generated based on user hotspots based on the sensor location within a building or around an outdoor activity.
Action Region Use Cases:
- Automatic exhibit-specific data presented based on exhibit proximity.
- Museum tours.
- Retail store racking advertisements for product location in store.
- Gamification events such as a treasure hunt offering rewards for users that visit all required sensor regions. Electronic tokens are collected in an app as proof of objective completion.
- Security guard or safety officer site visit recording. Timestamps are recorded when a user enters and exits a region
- Auto/manual unlocking and controlling of doors and lockers.
- Automated discount code delivery.
- Automatic health and safety warnings/briefings on indoor/outdoor activities or site works.
Data Dashboard
The Sensorstream data dashboard provides access to the sensor data in a clear, easy to read dashboard quickly allowing the user to spot data trends and alerts. The data can be exported in a variety of different formats or directly accessed through an API.
The sensorstream mobile app allows quick and easy secure access to the last 24 hours of data. The app also provides mobile alerts based on Action Monitor activity. A 24 hour timeline shows movement activation time and duration. The app combined with the web dashboard provides you with a comprehensive data reporting solution.
